Born and raised in Cardiff, I trained as a Registered Mental Nurse in Whitchurch Hospital during the 1980's and then began a 30 year career in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS). In the course of this I have worked in community and in-patient settings in Cardiff, London and across Cumbria.
I trained as a Psychodrama Psychotherapist during the 1990's and am a registered psychotherapist with the UKCP and have extensive experience of individual and group therapy with adolescents and adults.
I have run training workshops for therapeutic and commercial teams focussing on change management, national and international conferences, and offer individual and group supervision for mental health professionals.
I have run workshops and training courses in Ohrid, Budapest, Zagreb, Turin, Sofia, Plovdiv and Zurich. I also organised the 2019 FEPTO International Network Group Meeting which was held in Cardiff in February.
From July 2018 I provided bespoke training and weekly peer group supervision at The Cove in-patient adolescent unit in Heysham, Lancashire for a year.
Since March 2020 I have provided online individual therapy both privately and also through The Priory’s ‘Priory Connect’ programme.
I provide supervision for individuals and groups within The Priory organisation, and since the beginning of 2023 have run a fortnightly supervision group for therapists working in Ukraine.
